The shooting occurred in the Wal dort hotel, West First ave. The Hardings registered at the hotel Tuesday night. Mra Harding, her brother and brotherinlaw, and Emma Fields, 16, stepdaughter of the Hardings, were in a room together. Elmer Harding entered the hotel. He learned that his wife, from whom be had been estranged for three weeks, was in the \prother’s room. “I've a good notion to blow thelr heads off,” he told Ida Nichols, the landlady. Secreting himself in a telephone booth he waited. Carl Harding came from the reom and was shot down by a bullet thru his breast. He died soon after, Entering bis wife's room, Elmer Harding shot her thru the Head. She collapned to the floor. Harding |turned his automatic on himself, | sending a bullet thru his ear into his |brain. He died instantly. The po- | lice were notified.
