MOTION PICTURES A Public Spirited Movement NOTE THE FOLLOWING FACTS: There is only one logical place to produce Northwest Motion Pic- ture Plays—that is in the Northwest! Why use false backgrounds when realistic ones are at hand? PUBLICITY for SEATTLE forthcoming from Seattle-Made Mo- tion Pictures will be of tremendous value—every feature having a . local scenic or industrial background embracing lumbering, mining, fishing, shipping, agriculture, etc. Northwest backgrounds together with reputable plays and play- ers will go to make a type of Northwest outdoor picture which will be a revelation to every motion picture fan. \ Climatic conditions or remoteness from established motion picture producing centers form no serious obstacle to the limited aims of this organization. The “play” comes from out the “picture” — we have the pic- tures. The local White Cross contemplates the making of a propaganda motion picture play for the purpose of combating the dope evil. This organization would produce that picture at cost! The first feature play will have the timber as locale and should therefore interest every timberman or lumberman. Industrial, propaganda, educational, scenic, advertising and five- reel feature motion pictures or any other kind of film can be made. Seattle will be given a new, interesting, valuable industry. Local talent will have opportunities—screen story aspirants will be as- sured of experienced assistance. _ APPLICATION Date nommenes THESEATTLE MOTION PICTURE SOCIETY is merely a co-operative effort on the part of citizens to thoroughly establish the MOTION PIC- TURE INDUSTRY in this city under the leadership of Ralph R.
