THE SEATTLE STAR Greatest Field of Drivers Ever Assembled to StartTacoma Race S) Leave Goodrich CONSIDERED BY MANY MOTORISTS THE BEST FABRIC TIRE ON THE AMERICAN MARKET HAND BUILT The skillful hands of our master-workmen, far-famed in the tire world, build our “D” Type tire. Our Great Chiefs, ever seeking perfection, have found no better way. Even the most wonderful of machines must be hand operated; but the touch and “feel” of skilled hands are not in them. Much labor may be saved, and cost reduced, by the use of building machines, but perfection, the aim of my people, cannot be found in their work. Even as the waters of many streams combine to make the mighty river have we brought together the best that is known m methods and practice with the finest materials to be had in producing our big, flexible, extra ply, tough tread “‘D” Type tire. In it I believe we have the one fabric tire which stands far above all others in the service it gives on the road. And deeds, O Motorists, not the promise of them, make the mighty man or tire. The deeds performed by ourD’’ Type have inspired many of you to tell us we are building the best fabric tire on the market. Perhaps this message from you is caused by our building tires with that purpose in view. | SALUTE YOU, O MOTORISTS!
