Old hens are going through their anuual molt and are not pro- ducing within ten per cent of their normal egg yield. Most of the pullets—1918 hatched birds— | are still unmatured, hence they are producing only a limited number of eggs. These pullets are, how- | ever, producing ninety per cent of the really fresh } eggs on the local markets today.
