THE SEATTLE STAR—MONDAY, AUGUST 26, 1918. Syexes geupe ey23_ a2 Perea? Se SEATTLE and KING COUNTY Seattle is $3,000,000 short in its subscriptions to the War Savings Stamp Loan. It will stay behind unless all firms, all corpora- tions and all individuals do their full duty. f During the coming week 3,500 Council of Patriotic Service solicitors will canvass the city, and 68 Councils will canvass the county. They are volunteer workers, doing a patriotic duty. A prompt response is a duty to the government, to the city, to the county, to the solicitors and to yourself. Be ready. Seattle is receiving more than a million dollars a day in war industry money. Seattle cannot afford to refuse the Government’s call. WAR SAVINGS COMMITTEE CHARLES H. CLARKE, JUDGE F. V.
