Gripmen operating cable cars and trainmen breaking in students receive additional compensation. Extra passenger trainmen are guaranteed a minimum wage of $65 per month. The above scale represents an increase in wages to trainmen in the last six months of 14 per-cent, or $140,000 per year. The average day required to produce an average pay of more than $90 per month for all trainmen was 10 hours and 12 minutes.
