EVANS, Justice of the Peace for King County, Washington. rheumatism, Price of GasNever Rises Though Other Commodities Go Up VER since artificial gas first came into pub- lic use, the price has continued to decline, until today gas is one of the smallest items of household expense. There have been long periods during which the prices of practically all other commodities have been in the ascendant, but such conditions have not affected the price of gas. Ee } pS) The situation is particularly true of the period since 1900, in which the price of gas has declined 32 per cent, while foodstuffs, building materials, clothing, and even the materials and supplies used by gas companies, have vastly increased in cost The rates for gas service in Seattle are now so low that people of every class find it an economical substitute for other and older forms of fuel, and the gas company is sparing no known means or effort to make this service as perfect as possible. In nearly every place where heat or light is needed, gas will be found equal or superior to all not subject to fluctuations in competitors, and SEATTLE LIGHTING COMPANY PHONE: MAIN 6767, eee | IMPERIAL BAR AND READING ROOM At 206 Occidental Service Bar and Pool Tables in Connection CHOICE LIQUORS AND CIGARS ———————— It was fright A dismal onously on the From the windows through the dull drisz Only once or twit to smile the divorce hearts and hor i's @ plull afternoon, Atvorce court ull {reary eaves gloomy steady rain pe You could h the Smith during the ¢ mill ground indeed, .
