After May 11, there will be 10-round bouts among other thi Marry Andrews and ble Tacoma Athletic club will be right in on the ground floor. They have their organization and the club quarters, and will probably be the first to try to the longer bouts. An- drewa has two bouts on tap for the Tacoma fans that should prove drawing cards. One is a bout between Pat Scott and Eddie Marino, and the hag is between Johnny ou and) = Abe = Attell, O'Leary ie willing and Atteil's demands in connection with ining” the club will prob- iy be met, O'Leary is a good kid. but the match looks one- sided. ‘ Remeo Hagen and Harry Forbes, who are to meet at the Austin @ Freed smoker next Tuesday night, are pretty even- ly matched and ought to put up a pretty fair bout. A little later Hagen will meet Eddie Hubbard. Eddie and Pat Scott were supposed to be in thelr classes, and Dan Salt, their manager, was a rather chesty individual. tt never rains, and Dan's bad luck came in patches. First Pat lost to Mickey O'Brien and then Hagen more than held his own with Hubbard. Dan says everybody has an off day, and that the day Mickey licked Pat was an off day for Scott. Also he thinks Hubbard can win eas. lly the next time he me gen. We can tell more about that later, ‘This jinx talk may be a joke, but just the same, something is the matter with the Giants. if Chief of Police Bannick can Grab it, him or she, he will be conferring a lasting favor, also restoring to rry, Dug, ete., many restful nights, now de void of sleep. It's not bad to tose a dozen or so games, with relief in sight, but what seems ® forlorn hope now, is the thought that the present team is to win very many against such teams as Portland, Vic- toria, and in fact every other team in the league. Every few minutes Jack Bar. ry will drop into a chair, get his pencil out and begin jottin down a list of names. He is trying to figure out a way to get the Gitnt fist down to 16 names, and thus comply with the ruling of the league and the national association. Catcher Danny Shea and Third Base- man Dulin were sold to Van- couver last night, and three more must be lopped off. Danny Shea was a pretty sore person yesterday afternoon, when Manager Barry told him he had been sold to Vancouver, but later he consoled himself with the statement that he was going to a good team. With Dulin it was different. He wants to play ball, and doesn’t care much where It is. He has lots of good ball in him, and once he gets down to weight and hits his stride, he will prob- ably begin to show. SS ee WINS IN ELEVENTH Yesterday afternoon the Broad- way and Lincoln Midgets crossed bats on the Day playfield, and after eleven Innings of fast ball, Lincoln mahaged to get the score necessary to win the game. In the last half of the eleventh, with two down, Nelson hit safely the ball out of the lot, putting the winning run across. Score, 6 to 4. Broadway secured nine hits and Lincoln eight.
