The Alaska Home Railway represents an earnest movement upon the part of the people to construct and operate an independent railway to the interior. Practically every man, woman and child in Valdez and vicinity has taken stock in subscriptions ranging from $1 to $10,000. There are no promotion shares, no construction profits and every dollar is being economically ex- pended in building a first-class narrow guage electric railway. The following cables received in Seattle yesterday clearly indicate the attitude of the substantial citizens of Valdez regarding the Alaska Home Railway, its value to commerce, and the assured profits to stockholders The loyal co-operation’ of everyone connected with the road is overwhelm- ingly invincible. } Form 135-—1906 Signal Corps, United S ‘Telegram tes Army RECEIVED AT 1306 First Ave., SO.
