It was another dull day on the Stock and Bond Exchange, shares and bonds alike meet- ing with little attention. Spring Valley Water was lower at $37.37%. Stocks ex-dividend under the rule were Makaweli Sugar 30c, Spring Valley Water 63c and Union Sugar 30c. T the Comstock mining shares Savage and Gould & Curry showed some actlvity and fluctuation, but the general list remained about as before. The Tonopahs continued to weaken off, but the downward tendency was more pronounced and general than heretofore and there was no particular excitement in any stock. Dividends were pald as follows yesterday: Giant Powder Con., regular monthly, 50 per share, amounting to $10,000; Hutchinson Sugar Company, regular monthly, 12%c per share, amounting to $12,500; Paauhau S. P. Company, regular monthly, 13¢ per share, amounting to $15,000; California Wine Assoclation, regular monthly, 42c per share, amounting’ to $18,- 287.64; Monte Cristo Oil Company, regular monthly, lc per share, amounting to $5000; the Marin County Water Company. a regu- lar quarterly dividend of T5c; the Westinghouse Blectric and Manufacturing Company, a regu- lar quarterly dividend of 21 per cent on the preferred, assenting and non-assenting stocks.
