BECINS FICHT FOR BIL ESTATE Mother of Mrs. Buckman of Sacramento Files Contest of Will of Her Daughter Spectal Dispatch to The Call. SACRAMENTO, March 16.—The fight is on for the $150.000 estate of the late Mrs. Ora Runyon Buckman. Today her mother, Mrs. Sol Runyon, flled a contest in the Superior Court against the will by which Mrs, Buckman shortly before her death bequeathed almost her entire es- tate to Stephen Neal, a former China- town gulde whom Mrs. Buckman had met in San Francisco and who for some months had acted as her chauffeur and confidential agent. In the papers filed today Mrs. Runyon alleges that Neal exercised over her daughter a controlling influence and dom- ination, that he would not permit her to have social intercourse with any of her relatives and would not allow her to be visited by or to hold conversation with any of her friends or relatlves except in his presence. She declares that the will was made in obedlence to Neal's com- mand. .In addition to these allegations Mrs. Runyon has submitted a paper signed by Mrs. Buckman on her deathbed, in which she revokes the will giving her estate t@ Neal. It was supposed a compromise had been reached between the partles, but today’s move would indicate a hard fight to pre- vent the Buckman fortune going to Neal. —_————————— ‘Horses, Cattle and Mules Burned. It was resolved by the Capitol Commissioners to submit this point to the Attorney Gen- eral. Representatives of organized labor wers present to urge that the work should be done entirely by .union labor, and the Commissioners indicated that this would be the order. —_—— Announce Daughter’'s Engagement.
