The de- fense was conducted by F. G. Ostrander of Fresno, G. G. Goucher of Madera and W. M. Gibson of San Francisco. Ingalsbe shot Henry Cowell last March and was acquitted on a charge of assault to murder cn the ground of insanity. Cowell's death followed in August and | now his assailant is acquitted of the mur- der charge. LOS ANGELES, Nov. 11.—Adolphus | Ammerman and his wife are suffering | from severe injurles received last night in an automobile accident, In which they had a miraculous escape from death. | Miss Ammerman, who was with her fath- | er and mother, escaped without injur; gasoline autocar and were returning from Pasadena by what is known as the adobe road.
