There were present delegations from the ma- jority of the tribes in Alameda County, and after the work of the evening had been disposed of there was an excellent feast of corn and venison. The chiefs of Uncas and Tecumseh tribes will be “raised up” July 1, and after the ceremony there will be a ban- quet in honor of the new chiefs of the two tribes. Hall, Oakland, June 25, at which there were present many of the members of Alfarata. The recently elected chiefs of Yosemite, fatah and Laruka councils, D. O. Alameda County, will be jointly “raised up” in Foresters’ Hall, Alameda, July 6. A “raising up” feast will follow the induction into office of the new chiefs. A new council of the D. O.
