Saville, who keeps a lodging-house at 516 ‘Van Ness avemue, appeared before Police Judge Cabaniss yesterday on the charge of grand lar- ceny. She is accused on complaint of R. P. Smith of Lathrop, who has a lodging- house at 219 Grant avenue, with stealing his diamond stud. Mrs. Saville told the Judge that she called upon Smith on April 14 with the object of purchasing the lodging-house and he insuited her. Shs knew nothing whatever of his diamond stud. The Judge released her on her own recognizance and continued the case till to-morrow. ————r—— —— Hermann Rehfeldt Sentenced. Hermann Rebfeldt, who pleaded gullty in the United States District Court last Tuesday to having In his possession the mall bag key of the postoffice at Mont- pelier, Stanislaus County, was sentenced yesterday by United States District Judge de Haven to six months’ imprisonment at hard labor in the county jail of Sam Franeisco. The postoffice was entered by burglars last fall and stamps and other property were stolen. Rehfeldt and a companien were arrested a_ month later on a ¢hdrge of vagrancy and the missing key of the postoffice was found on his person. —_——— ‘Wills Filed for Probate. ‘The wills of Isabella Rogers Kinsey and Robert Hamilton were filed for probate yesterday. Under Mrs. Kinsey's will G. J. Kinsey, her son, inherits all of her es- tate but $200. The estate is worth more than $10,000. Hamilton left his property to_his widow, Jane, and his two daugh- ters, share and share alike. In the event that this disposition is not satisfactory to Mrs. Hamilton he provides that she shall take only her share of the commun- ity property and his daughters share equally his share of the community prop- erty and his separate estate. ————— Weeks Addresses Architects. The San Francisco Architectural Club held its monthly meeting at fits elub- rooms, 14 McAllister stree, last night and the members present listened to a pleas- ant talk by Charles' Peter Weeks, a grad- uate of the Parls Architectural Scheol. ‘Weeks is a brilllant talker and his speech was punctuated with many humorous in- cidents pertaining to the life of the American student in Paris.
