Occidental and Oriental Steamship Company’s Doric ar- rived early yesterday morning from the Orient. Her passen- gers included twenty army of- ficers, who were prevented by the acci- dent to the Sherman from returning on a transport and who elected to come home on tbe Doric in preference to waiting for the next trooper. The Doric encountered head winds throughout the voyage and was a day late in reaching Honolulu. She was 23 days 4 hours 15 minutes from Hong- kong, 17 days 4 hours from Yokohama and 6 days 4 hours from Honolulu. She brought 320 tons of cargo, which in- cluded 250 bales of raw silk and twenty boxes of oplum.
