The evening was enjoyably spent. The Hermosa carried a happy crowd of young people on a trolley party Thursday evening, October 9. During the trip around the city games and songs were enjoyed. Arriving at the ocean beach refreshiments were served. Music and dancing followed. The party, swhich was chaperoned by Mrs. Captain Schmaling, Mrs. H. Smith and Miss D. A lantern party was given by the-Alicia Club at the home of Mrs.' J, N. Felt, 209 Eighteenth street, October 4. The hoie was effectively decorated with autumn leaves and ferns, and the lawn was il- luminated with Japanese lanterns. The string quartet of the club rendered musi- cal selections.
