LONDON, July 26.—The latest of the numerous sins charged to Americans by Londoners is responsibility for the high prices of food. The increases in the cost of meats and other necessaries of sub- sistence reached figures this week never paralleled in London. The representatives of the Chicago meat packers deny that the abnormal prices of meats are chargeable to the American shippers. Both they and the retallers can cattle were shipped to England in 1901, while England herself supplied 2,500,- 000 head, so it is impossible for Ameri- cans to be in a position to control prices.” Get Your Men’s Suits Now.
