Three suits were transferred yesterday from the Superior Court of Nevada County to the Unites States Clircuit Court. They are entitled as follows: The Desert King Mining Company vs. Thomas Dougherty and Charles B. Bell, directors of the company; Charles B. Bell vs. Thomas S. Ford, W. A. Sleep, Gladys Ford and the Desert King Mi Com~ pany, and Thomas Dougherty vs. mas 8. Ford, W. A. Sleep, Gladys Ford and the Desert King Mining Company. The first suit is for $10,000 and an ae- counting; the second is for 24,90 shares of stock and a restraining order and the third is for 24,900 shares of stock and a similar restraining order. In the same court John Wieland of the firm of Wieland Bros. brought suit against the Canadian Pacific Railway Comgny to recover $6200 damages for the non-delivery of thirty-five tubs of cheese to be shipped from Holland to San Fran- cisco on the steamship Sardinian Prince. Dredging Company Wing Suit. A verdict for the defendant was ren~ dered by a jury in Judge Graham's court esterday in the suit of the Jersey Island ‘ncklnfircomp&n against the Bay and River Dredging Company for $15,4%0, al- leged to have been advanced by the plain- tiff.
