Among the visiting: Nobles are many representative business men and others in the professions. The more prominent of the Shriners of Amer- ica are gathered in the city, and their en- tertainment by the local Shriners is now the sole thought of resident Nobles. Only one idea prevails, namely, that the visit- ors when they take their departure will do so with the full realization of what hospitality in San Francisco really sig- nifies, It is desired that the story of the entertainment of the pilgrims which they will tell when reporting.to their respective temples shall be of an unequivocal char- acter, and one which will redound to the creait of-San Francisco and her people, LEADING NOBLES HERE, Among the prominent members of the St. Louls Temple, Moolah, new in this city .is Willlam M. Porteous, illustrious potentate of that shrine. Colonel C. A, | Louis carry with them a handsome silk Sinclalr, who accompanies the shrine, is the commander of its Arab patrol. ILLUMINATED STREETS. The electric illumination along Market and Kearny streets last night was a suc- cess. The fllumination of The Call build- ing was generally admired for its beauty and completeness. The strings of lamps extending from the ferry bullding to Lar- kin street, broken at intervals with radi- ant symbols of the Mystic Shrine, pre- sented a scene of brilliant color in nowise interior to “the occasions which have pessed into history. The ferry building was especially attractive, and its beauty was commented upon by every visitor. The {llumination was a success, and hun- dreds of pilgrims, in commenting upon its brilliance, said they had never before wit- nessed anything that approached it in ex- tent and grandeur.
