Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Death of John Fritsch. PETALUMA, June 1.—John Fritsch, one of the oldest citizens of Petaluma, died this morning after a long illness. The de- ceased was one of the pioneers of Sonoma County, coming to California in June, 1852, in company with Willlam Zartman. After a few months. spent in mining they came to Petaluma and under the firm name of Fritsch & Zartman engaged in the blacksmithing business on Main street, where the Fritsch & Zartman brick block now stands. Fritsch was a charter member of Petaluma Lodge No. 80, Independent Order of Odd Fellows, un- der whose auspices he will be buried Tuesday.
