C., April 20.—To ex- plore the upper reaches of White River, a tributary of the Yukon, is the object of 2 large party of prospectors that left here to-day for the north by the steamer City of Seattle. Last summer Captain McLean, with two other men, went to the headwaters of White River, a distance of 350 miles from Fort Selkirk. He discovered several large caves in the rugged Alaskan moun- tains. These are located about five miles from the side of the river.
