BERKELEY, Car, June 12—The Fourth Ward Improvement Club of South Berkeley has received from tbe Oaklana Consolidated Sireet Railway Company a letter which has given a boom to the tree- planting schemes fathered by the . Berke- ley Floral Society. The company offers to supply trees free of cost to all persons liv- ing along its line, who will agree to plant them in front of their propertv, with a view of beautifying and adging to the popularity of the different thoroughfares used by the company’s lines. At the next meeting of the club the question of how to take advantuge of the offer will be dis- cussed.
