There was nothing on which ta base strength : nd prices advanced frodi a lower opening, the rise encoun- tering very little opposition, aithough the general trade was bearish. Liverpool quotations were un- changed to lower. 70 accord with our Saturday’s market an advance should have been established. The world’s shipments were extremely Iarge, ap- proximating 9,800,000 bushels. The amount on ocean passa:e Increased 480,000 bushels. The Northwest had 810 cars, against 1048 last Monday and 1333 a year ago. Closing Paris cables were higher, Berlin lower and Anuwerp unchanged. Export clearances amounted t0 11,002 bushels. The visible supply deoreased 2,028,000 bushels. This caused good buying and & further aivance. The English visi- ble supply increased 1,150,000 bushels.
