Cal. and Va. is as follows: 1650 level—On ninth floor (first floor above sill floor of this level), at & point 236 seet in from month of drift run south from east crosscut from drifc run south from south end of stope, an east_crosscut has been advanced 14 feet, pussing throvgh quartz assaying $1 10 83 per ton;' face in porphyry. West crosscut started at point 270 feet in from mouth of this drift has heen advanced 15 feet. passing through vein matter into footwall; total length, 27 feet. On fourteenth floor (sixth floor above sill floor of this level) in opening com- menced at floor 185 feet in from mouth of south drifc on ninth floor, north drift has been advanced 30 feet in quartz, assaviog $1 per ton. Total length of crosscut 60 feet. From sixth and seventh floors, from upraise 2, and from north end of stope on_eleventh, twelfth and thir- teenth floors, extracted 254 tons of ore, the average assay value of which, per samples taken from cars in mine, was $50 26 per ton. This constitutes the total extraction of ore from the mine for a week, the ayerage assay value of which, per sample from cars when raised to the surface, was $47 85 per ton.. Have reopened and timbered northwest drift from C.and C. shaft for a distance 0f 24 feet, or a total distance of 130 feet from the mouth of west cross- r\|‘v. that connects with our stopes in west side of mine. 2000 level—The west Crosscut started from the north drift from Con. V& shaft station on this level at a point 200 feet north of the station has been advanced 45 feet, passing through porphyry and clay showing fine lines of quartz. Total length of crosscut J40 feet. From this north drift at » point 40 fect in from the mouth & west crosscut has been advanced 8 feet in quartz carrving narrow streak of ore in top of fuce; assays $69 70 per ton. 1750 level—From the sixth and seventh floors above the sill floor of this level we have opened out through upraise 2, extracting some ore north and south along the ‘west side of the opening, showing a width of 5 fect, assoying $10 to $60 per ton.
