DVICE AND ASSISTANCE FOR ALL! Never in the annals of clairvoyancy have future events been as truthfully foretold as by Professor Eugene. His patrons are the very best business people cf San Franeisco. 1t is not necessary to refer to distant lands or forelgn cities for credentials. HIS SUCCESS IS ASSURED—HIS PATRONS COMMEND HIS REPORT. All are pleased and delighted with his readings. Multitudes visit his par- lors daily and are happy. His power ex- cites the wonder and the admiration of even the most skeptical. Gifted by nature with marvelous medlumistic powers, this remark- able man may be consulted on all matters pertaining to the welfare of the human race. HE GIVES ADVICE ON BUSINESS, speculation, investme: insurance, love, courtship, marriage and divorce; settles lovers’ quarrels, rennites the separated and causes a speedy and happy marriage with the one of your choice. The earth reveals to bim the hidden treasures buried in her bosom. He Igcates mines and buried treasures, interprets dreams, tells of your friends and_enemies. removes evil influences, gives atvice pertaining to lawsuits, everything. Deveioping mediums a specialty. The troubled and unfortunate shoutd scex his counsel. Thousands of iamilies long separated have been reunited by his efforts; thousands of hearts made giad through his truthful predictions. He is the only clairvoy- ant oo earth recognized by the profession A8 their brightest star. His power ap- proaches the miraculous, and he might well be termed the Isalah of the nineteenth cen- tury. He is aiso the only one who prepares the real Egyptian Charm. All persons unsuccess- ful in business, who seem to be unlucky, should visit the Professor. seck his aid and counsel and start aright. He is con- stantly in receipt of congratulations from those whom he hes assisted. Thousands have be- come wealthy through his advice. He is ever ready to assist all those with capital to find a safe and good-paying Investment. Young men starting in business will find it greatly to their advantage to consult the Profes- sor on all matters of financial interest to them- selves. The Professor positively does ell that he advertises to do. Remember, the Pro- fessor is permanently located in San Fran- cisco, and that his past work is his 3 future references; it speaks for itself. The Professor always gives perfect satisfaction in all things he mentions in this notice. THE PROFESSOR Should not be classed among the many cheap pretenders who infest the City and bring dis- repute to the profussion. Professor Eugene’ parlors are visited by business men or good repute, anxious for reliable information as to the outcome of future investments, and by ladies of high social standing. His parlors are so arranged that one party does not see another wulle awaiting tneir turns to consult the professor. He is at presen: engaged upon many im- portant cases wherein hundieds of thousands of dollars are nvolved. His past success in matters of great import are & & positive guarantee of his power to perform the wonders that have made him famous. Cases that baffle the legal talent because of their complexity and obscurity are easily unraveled by the professor. In Invest- ments where large amounts are at stake he will charge a small fee for consultation and take & commission for his services when the in- vestment pays a bandsome profit. He does this to assist many who call to con- sult him on very fmportant matters and who are Inclined to be skeptical. EGYPTIAN CHARMS AND THEIR POWER. The genuine apply to efther sex. They possess magnetic power that attracts: the weaker power Is irresistibly drawn to the stronger. We all know that any magnetized plece of steel will pick up a needle or a knife by the blade. The Egyptian cherm magnetizes the body and contro.s the mind of one per- son to do the bidding of the other. The lady or gentieman (as the cage may be) naving the most magnetism will seek its affin- ity, and while a lady may beabie to draw many gentlemen to her, the one she loves will re- main distant. Why ? Simply because she has not suflicient magnetic power to draw him to her. The Egyptian charm sup- plies the power and a_speedy union is the result. t is perfectly safe and harmless in its work- ings. It causes happy marriages, removes coldness and indifferénces between hus- band and wife. Lovers find In the cnarm a secret and confidentlal agency, working for their mutual Interests and pro- ducing ~ results o pleasing and gratify- ing they are profuse in its praise. Scores who have consulted him consider his advice and assistance most _veluable, He has made fortunes for many. finding for them, through his power of second sight, invest- ments that_recurned them great profit. Many married couples who heretofore have quarreled and led miserable lives are now united and living contented and happy. Drink- ing husbands have been reformed and re- claimed and restored to their families. Ab- sent friends have been found; wayward girls bave been shown the folly of their ways and started in the path of obedience and duty, and a moral reformation has restored their social standing In their community. All of these things are of daily occurrence right in the heart of a great city. Letters come pouring iu from all parts of the world involving questions of great import and com- plexity, and every reply is most gratifying. To the troubled and unhappy his ad¥ice i3 so0th- ing and beneficial, glving them that peace of mind that weaith nor power can pro- duce. Men of the world consalt him upon matters of business and speculation, sport- ing men upon games of chance. Even minly ters of the gospel send for his wonderful Egyptian Charm and marvel at his power. Professor Eugene is the only clair#oyant inthe Western world who thoroughly understands the preparation and the working of the real Oriental kgyptian Charm. HIs truth- ful reading of the past, present and future continues 1o be the source of great pleasure .and profit to all his many patrons. The Professor wishes it dis/inctly under- stood that he does not charge for this wonderful charm—simply for the work that accompanies it. All letters with stamp answered. Professor Le Conte, Professor Jordan, Dr. Voorsanger and Others Will Give Lectures. The California Psychical Society has en- gaged J. J. Morse of London to give a series of weekly lectures, extending over a Year, on topics of interest to the society and, in some of their phases, to the public. The society, which was organized last month, has a membership of 150 persons, and represents largely the members of the professions and the litterati of the City. Its officers are: George M. Terrell, presi- dent; Val Schmidt, vice-president; J. Dal- J. J. Morse of London. zell Brown, secretary; James H. Swift, treasurer. These gentlemen, with W.J. Bartnett, Jose Costa and B. M. Bradford, comprise the board of directors. The society is incorporated and has guaranteed to it a fund of $350 a month for the expenses of the organization. The purpose of the society is the pursuit of psychical study, and one of its aims is the establishment of a library of works on psvchical and metaphysical subjects. The first of Mr. Morse’s lectures will be given at Golden Gate Hall on Friday evening, the occasion being in the nature of a welcome to that gentleman by the friends of psychical research. There will be Sunday evening lectures thereafter at the same place on topics adapted to popu- lar taste. Dr. Joseph Le Conte will be one of the speakers during the present month. President Jordan will deliver a lecture early in January, and Dr. Voorsanger will give one shortly after. It is expected that permanent headquarters will be opened by the society during the coming year. Mr. Morse, who is staying at the Hotel Pleasanton, is an affable gentleman of middle age, who has devoted the past twenty-six years to lectures on psychical and metaphysical themes, all but five ears being spent in his native England. ight years ago he acted as a propagandist of psychical theories in this country, and at that time visited the coast. He is a member of the Society for Psychical Re- search of London, the parent society from which the Boston and Szn Francisco so- cieties are sprung. The Londou society has been in existence twelve years, and the Boston branch five years. Among the members of the latter organization are Dr. Hodgson, Rev. Heber Newton and promi- nent clergymen of Boston, New York and Chicago. Mr. Morse’s lecture will deal with physi- cal questions, including ““The latent powers of man’s nature, their relations to the uni- verse, their possible exercise, the contin- uity of human personality beyond the grave, and reality and definite conditions of communion between the seen and the unseen.” Mr. Morse said yesterday: ‘These subjects ‘will be treated in relation to morals. religion, science and philosophy. The aim will be to offer resolutions and explanations covering the entire field of spiritual thought. Itis believed by the promoters that the present time is ripe for the consideration of all questions In & manner that, while free from party creed or bias, shall befin harmony. with ‘the truest religious sentiments and aspirations of every earnest seeker after truth, the aim being not to establish a new cult, but to weld together scattered truths pertaining to all forms of thought. The society has no connection with the- osophical or spiritualistic organizations, nor is it, its members say, in any degree antagonistic to religion. Mr. Morse will receive $3000 for his ene gagement here. Leaves of Gold. Detrolt Free Press. They walked together under the stately maples—Virginia De Claire and Augustus Knickerbocker—and with every breath of wind the golden leaves of autumn fell at their feet. "Ausustus," she murmured as she stooped to pick up a beautifully bright leaf, “you know everything, don’t you?” “Yes, darling—everything worth know- ing,” Le replied as he gave her a tender look. “Then you must know why the leaves fall in autumn-time?"” “The best reason in the world, my pet.” “QOh, Augustus, you are so nobleto find a reason! See how they shower down, like leaves of gold! T|Listen to the sobbing of the breeze, as if it grieved and wept at parting leaf from twig! In a few days more these trees will stand desolate and forlorn and their wind-whipped branches will point to heaven as if appealing for merc; ell me, Augustus, if it is really and qnsiuvely nec- essary for the leaves to fall atall and, if so, why they should fall in the autumn time.” “The leaves must fall once a year, my treasure,” he softly said, as he caressed the puffed sleeves of her jacset, “‘and as this is positively necessary it was decided to have them fall at this particular season in order that the farmer might gather them—" “Might gather them to decorate his walls and keep him in touch with the beautiful in nature during the frigidity of winter?” *No, darling. That he might gather them to bed down his hogs and cover up the pile of pumpkins in the barnyard! That’s all—look out for the caterpillars as you go pawing around!” ———————————————— LODGING-HOUSES FOR SALE.
