CHICAGO, ItL., Sept. 28.—The wheat market to-day was nervous and susceptible to buyingor selling even of moderate proportions. Theopen- ing was with a feeling of firmness, which gave place very soon to an easfer inclination, prices de- clining just a half cent. The local crowd was bull- ish, however, and when one or two leadersap- peared they had no difficulty in obtaining a follow- ing, the buying by which gave a distinctly strong tone 1o the market and started prices on the as- cent, a g4in of Lic taking place in the first hour.
