Steel Contract is Let for Telephone Company Building [he Omaha Structural Steel com- pany was awarded the ntract for steel work of the Nebraska Telephone company's new exchange building to be erected at the northwest corner of Nineteenth and Douglas streets. Announcement was made by the company that ground will be broken within a short time after the first of the new year. The building will be fiifteen stories, and possibly higher. Owing to high cciling necessities of telephone exchange rooms, it is ex- plained this building, if e: ed on a fifteen-story plan, will be- fifty feet higher than the ordinary building of a similar number of stories.
