Friday and Saturday Fannie Ward, one of the favorites of the screen, is shown in “Each Pearl.a Tear.” Miss Ward, whose characterizations in “The Cheat” and other Lasky pro- ductions have wof her much favor among the fans, will h\_ seen in a role | of great appeal in “Each Pearl a Tear.” The plot of, the story, it is said, abounds in ments of extrae ordinary and tragic tenseness. Anita’ Stewart Proves Remarkable Versatility The role of Muriel Fleming in “The Combat,” showing at the Muse today and tomorrow, gives Anita Stewart an excellent opportunity of register- ing on the screen in a single picture her extraordinary versatility. First, as a young society girl who has every- thing her heart can wish for, she wears beautiful gowns, She, the idle society miss who loves everybody be- cause she has never had reason to do otherwise. After her loveless marriage her character changes. When the man she married secretly, and whom she believed dead, returns to her life after her second marriage to the district at- torney her conflicting emotions are registered in a wouderful manner, then comes the climax. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday Lenore Ulrich will be seen in “The Intrigue,” a paramount production. The story of an X-ray gun that th American government would not buy, and the attempt of the enemy to se- cure its secret is the intrigue which makes excitement. Vivian Martin in ! “Her Father's Son,” will be the at- traction for Fnday and Saturday. “Diana of the Follies” At the Strand Today Four changes of program hold forth at the Strand this week, commencing today, when the attraction!is Lillian Gish, in a story of stage life called “Diana of the Follies.” Miss Gish is too well known to Omaha ’picture patrons to need any, introduction and this picture affords her wonderful op- portunity to display her ability as an excellent actress.
