OALL MONEY IS EASY New York, July 18.—Market movements today were governed almost entirely by the caprices of professional trades. Domestic or outside interest was altogether negligible. Trading was light throughout, even the first hour's turnover being unusually small. Speculative mentiment was rather con- flicting, the course of prices fn their ir- regular advances and declines indicating falth in fnvestment issues and further aloof- ness toward those specialties which recently have shown marked weakness. More Important than any development in the market itself was the offering of both time and call loans at lowor rates than any day sinco last week's flurry. Call money was in free supply at 3% per cemt, the longer maturities were shaded by % to 1 per cent. Motors, munitions, some coppers and A few high priced speclaltios were again sus- ceptiblo to moderate pressure. General Motors made an initial dip of 29 points to 460, but recovered the greater part of its loss before the closs. Willys Overland was the market leader, but at the expense of additional Impairment, making an extreme declino of 2 -8, trom which Changes In other pa Iat repre- sented numerous irregular gains and losses. Tobacco shares continued to improve, with the exception of American BSnuff, which lost more than € points. International Nickel was uncommonly active and heavy at the outset and Tennessee Copper denoted more liquidation, Rouding was the only conspiouous raif way stock to manifest more than a slight degreo of activity. Secondary issues of that group, particularly Denver & Rio Grands, proferred, and Missouri Pacitic wers better In connection with the headway now being made In the reorganization of those prop- ortien. Cotton carriers were unaffected by the floods In the south, although Loulaville & Nashville lost a point. Total sales of stocks amounted to 383, 000 shares, Exchange markets were at & standetill with no material alteration in sterling, france or marks.
