Barnum Drops Dead at Home Walter Mallory Barnum, a plonser resi dent of Nebraska, dropped dead Sunday evening at 9:5 at his home, 2512 Bhirley street Mr. Barnum had fust returned to the house after an automobile ride and was fealing in the best of spirits. 1o was partaking of a light evening luncheon when the fatal stroke of heart trouble occurred Mr. Barnum was born in Bethel, Conn June 23, 18 He came to Nehraska in 187, but went west shortly after to Nevadn and Montana. At one time Mr Barmum owned a gold mine where Helena, Mont,, now stands. In 1562 be returned to Nebraska and has remained in the stale ever since. He was president of the Niobrara Valley bank of Niobrara untfl 1869, when he retired from active business and came to Omaha Mr. Barnum was a member of the Hanscom Park Methodist church. He is survived by his wife, two daughters, Vir ginla and Mra. M. A. Thomson; two sons, George and Alston; one stopson, Truman B. Sabine, and three brothers and five slsters Funeral services will be held from Dodder's chapel at 2 o'clock Wednosday afternoon, with Interment in Forest Lawn cemetery.
