T 19 THE OMAHA DAILY BEE: TWO BUILDINGS IN PROSPECT Factery at East Omaha and Structure for Insarance Companies in City. T0O BE BUILT ON MOST MODERN LINES Insurance Are Sald to Have Agreed to Take Quarters ia Building to Be Erected | Eapecially for Them Companies It is reported that the Omaha Tanning company has plans under way for the con- struction of a bullding at East Omaba to cost $50,000 and that the work will be started as soon as the weather permits In the spring. The Omaha tannery was started about a year ago as an experiment, and the clalms of the promoter were S0 success- tully borne out that capital was interested, one of the investors being L 8 pherd- son of Riverton, Neb., who is one of the heaviest capitalists of the interior of the state. Under the management of Mr. Shep- herdson and his local representatives the plant has been developed so largely that the present quarters at East Omaha are inade- quate. When the company first went to East Omaha it secured a conditional contract for the old Kilpatrick-Koch building and the manufacturs of harness leather was begun. The demand for this leather has exceeded the supply, but the company has decided to consume as much of its own product as pos- sible and has engaged in the manufacture of harness. The new building in contempla- tion will be devoted to manufacturing, the present one to be used as a tannery. Strueture for Insurance Agents. One of the new buildings planned for the coming year, and which will be among the first started, probably, will be constructed the result of the united action of the in- surance companies of the clty. The matter was first agitated by the Columbia Fire In- surance company, which maintains head- quarters at Omaha. The representatives of this company brought the subject befors & number of general agents, suggesting that they unite in the occupancy of a building | which will be devoted almost entirely to the use of the If urance companies, The project me with the approval of the other parties and a canvass of the city was made, showing that about seventy-five | companies or agents would take space in the proposed building. It was ascertained that the companies did not feel warranted in expending the amount required for the erection of the bullding so it was decided to present the matter to the representatives of one or more of the larger corporations and indl- viduals interested in the eity. The propo- sition 18 now being considered by them and it is sald that at least one of them will act. If the companies can get the building erected it will be centrally lacated and one of the most modern of office build- ings, adapted particularly to the work of the insurance agents. SOFTNESS OF SEALSKIN, Is Rivaled by Halr Where Dandruff is Eradicated. Sealskin 1s n.m'-ml the world over for its softness and glos¥aess, and yet the human hair s equally as soft and'glossy when healthy, and the radical cause of all hair trouble is dandruff, which is caused by a pestiferous parasite that saps the vitality of the hair at its root. Newbro's Herpicide is the only preparation that is fatal to th dandruft germ. Without dandruff no fall- ing hair, but a luxuriant growth of glossy, soft hair Is certain. Scouring the scalp ‘won't cure dandruff. Kill the dandruff germ. Thousands of women owe their beau- tiful suits of hair to Newbro's Herpicide.
