Today the packers reported that they were trying to buy corn fed cattle in Kansas City. he general market was fully steady. One bunch of corn fed westerns brought $4.05, which was the top for the day. There were a few westerns good enough to bring $3.50. There were a few pretty good cows, but nothing very fancy. The market w ady on the desirable grades of butchers’ stock, such as gocd cows and heifers, but lower on the trashy stuff. He has requested payment fully 100 times, and has always received promises that in a short time the money would be forthcoming.
