The Board of Public Works yesterday afternoon awarded the contract for grading Twenty-seventh strect from Caldwell to Franklin to Samuel Katz, who bid 9{ ceats per cubic yard, being nearly one-half less than the three other bids. Alf Bramerd was given the contract for grading the alley in block 3, Credit Foncier uddition, at 17 cents per cubie yard. The usual llmmuu' of estimates and claims tabulation. Hugh Murphy's contracts for paving Third street with white Colorado sandstone trom Pierce to Williams, and Pierce from Third to Fourth street were approved. A resolution was adopted cutting down the street sweeping schedule.
