Dr. 1. C. Dunn of this city, having been selected to take charge of the test, was inter- viewed at his home. Andrew Seymour, ason of the professor, was also present at the interview, and expressed the beliel that his father 1 successfully perform the feat. De. Dunn said: “There is tion that this test can formed successfully, I it performed threo —at Allahabad, Delhi There will be con: before the body i . For sc eral days Seymour will be fed upon fat and heat produeing food. The object of is to provide an excess of caloric. The nose, e) i ote., will be hermetically scaled with wax. A preparation of parafline will be rubbed over the entire body to close the pores of the skin. “The body will then be ready for burial. It will be putin a casket inuch larger than would be used were the pro- fessor being buried for good. This will be placed inside of anothe isket, and both will be perforated in order that if any poisonous gasses exude from the body, which we do not expect, they may make their escape and will bo absorbed by the soil. The interment will be made in a clay soil, because of its im- perviousness to water. “1 think the professor insists on re- maining under the ground too long. We can't ripen the barley, even if wo soak the sprout beforehand, much under x week: Besides, if he were buried in a field, we might not be able to guard against curious mo My plan is to rent a vacant house and make the interment in the cellar in the pres- ence of witnesses, having two responsible persons guard the grave day and night. I would rather not have him under ground more than four weolks, although he has insisted on remaining longer.” The docter added that the feat can accomplished as easily as a bear can hibernate during the winter season. The test will be made probably before August 1, either in Rockford or Chicago. eymour earries $10,000 insurance on his life. One of the companies wrote him that if he attempted the feat the policies would be canceled, but the doc- tor declares this will not prevent the test. be — OHR STUDENTS, Religlon Is Making Itself Felt in Our Col- leges and Universities.
