At the meeting hold last Friday Squires was ordered to begin sweeping the paved stroets in accordance with the schodale of 1801, Ho ignored this order and yesterday filed a communication w which ho stated that he would clean the stroets under tho provisions of the 10 per cent clauso sud after that he would work under his contract.
