Carey—Nationnl Master Drigham of Ohio on the Platforn, Fresoxt, Neb,, Dec. 0. ~[Special Telegram to Tie Bee.)—-The Nebraska State grance held forenoon and ovening sessions today, with an open meeting this afternoon, The former two were devotou strictly to routine work, which was participated in by a large number of additional delegates who arrived today. The éhief interest centered 1u the open meeting, which began at 1:30 o' clock. This was a sort of citizens’ welcome and reception to the state grange. It was cull to ordor by Secrotary Hanson of the Board of Trade and J. J. Hawthorne presided. D. B. Carey of this city deliverod the address of welcome, extending the hospitalities of the city in appropriate words, and referring at some length to the history of the grange movement, its abjects and what it has accomplished, State Master Hall responded to the welcome, saying among other things that tho grange is nere in the 1ntorests of good laws sought by it strictly upon a nonpartisian basis, ~Na- tional Master Brigham of Obio made s stirring sposch in which ho oclearly ex- pounded the doctrines of the grange and r viewed its growth and work.
