Governor Thayer was in Omaha yesterday lovking into the evidence and alleged evi dence in the Ed Neal case, The governor as closoted for hour with Mr. Charles Ogden Clark, the fallen woman who bending all her encry to save the condemned man from the gallows. Mr. Ogden has rotained by the won as an attorney in the case and she met the governor yesterday morning to lay before the alicged evidence that she claims to ba that Neal is innocent It was rumored that Joe Cl governor that sho was k2d Neal's sister, but this story was scouted by others. Hamilton alloges that during tae year 1880 he insured his houso with the above named compauy, giving premium notes in payment. Failing to pay the notes when due, the company brought suit. In the moantime the house burned and Hamilton, paying his notes, demanded tho sum for which his property was insured §1,000. The company is also rehen ing two pretty little curtain raisers, “An Object of Iuterest” and *Tho Kool of the Family,” which he will use alternately with the new play. Mr. Daniels went to Europe tho past summer, partly for pleasurg and in the hopo that e might possibly pick up something in the shape of a new play.
