That is a question which hus agitated the mind of some of his friends for the past few days. \When he commenced nis seventy injunction suits wgamst the saloon keepers last spring it was prophosied that he would soon find out what a mou fain he was attempting to carry, aud drop it. He carried his bur- den, however, longor than a 00 many peo- ple thought he would, but judging from ap pearances he has decided that the quickest way for him toget vid of the unpopulari whicli bis move won for him was by leaving the city, and he has left. He sold out his furniture, gave up his oflice in_the Merriam block, and took the train last Moaday for the south, where he formerly lived, Whether his busioess will go_on can not vet be determiued. G, Y. Boulton, it is said, will take vp the trial of the injunction suits where it was left off and will try to engineer ther through to a suceessful termination, He was looking for the papers in the cases o fow days ago, but they were taken awuy by Seabrook and he canuot get the court m_ witbout au order from the court, which will hardly be given in the present case, so that it is hardly likely that the trials will go on.
