The Provisiona of the Proposed Law for the Storing of Grain, One of tho most important bills introduced in the present legisiature s that fathered in the senate by Mr. Shea and in the house by Mr, Watson of Nebrasks City, known as the warehouse bill. It provides for the creating and regulation of public ware houses, the housing, shipping, welghing and iuspection of grain, The first section provides that all elevators or storehouses 1n which graln or other prop- erty is stored fora compensation, whether the property stored be kept separate or not, shall be declared public warchiouses, The owner, lesseeor munager of every pub lie warehouso must make weokly statements under oath, on or before Tuesday,the amount of each kind of grain, as also of all other property stored up = to the Saturday previous; what warehouse receipts have been issued or aro outstanding. In metropolitan cities the warehouseman must make daily changes in his notice of the kinds and amount of grain on hand. The different grades of grain shall not be mixed with in- ferior lots without the consent of the owner or tho consignee thereof. ‘I'hese weekly statements must be posted in a conspicuous place in the warehouse.
