Portly Ed Walsh took warning from the arrival of the irst member of the august body, and put a force of men at work cleaning out the debris from the halls of the hospital, creating a dust that was witnessed by the Visitors long before they arrived atthe hospital. The Omaha Street Railway company tried one of its new Pullmans on the track extend- ing from the power house on Ninetcenth and Tzard south by way of Sixteenth and Leaven- worth to Hanscom park. The trial trip proved a success, ‘The advent of the car was a pleasant sur- priso to the citizens along the route and its apy ice awakened considerable enthusi- asm. A number of other trips are to be made, and by Sunday or Monday it is hoped that the new line reaching from the Belt line to Hanscom park will be ready for the public. Thero will be but, three cars run_on the Twenty-second and Twenty-fifth street line of the motor company afier next Sunday. ‘The passengers will be transferred at Seven- teenthand 1Burt to the lines running south. H, Clarke, vico president of the road, Miss Helen Govld, Edwin Gould, Dr. Munn, of N York, and Superintendent Rathburn, ar- ved in the city at 3:45 yesterday afternoon on a special train over the Missouri Paci { The train, which cgme in at the Webster sirect depot, consisted of Mr. Gould’s com- bination car, a slecper and two bagzawe cars, und was in charce of Conductor Hoo- ton Mr. Gould stated that his health was much better than it was one year ago, and thut he was feeling “first rate.” The object of his trip had no special significancs beyond an inspection of the road and its branches.
