Messvs. Switzler, Magney, Strawn, French and Coolay were present at the meeting of the bar committee yesterday afternoon. The committee decided to meet at 2 o'clock each Friday afternoon at the grand jury room in the county court house to examine applicauts for admission to the bar. The examination of students was divided by the following as signment of the various branches of the law : On contracts, by Mr. Ferguson; bills and notes, Covell; evidence, Cooley; criminal law, Magney: equity, Strawn; pleadings, French; real estate law, Switzler. The committee is working harmoniously and purposes making its examinations thor- ough. The district court will be asked to law down a rule as to the examination into the moral character of an applicant who comes from the bar of another state.
