A Meeting This Afternoon to Arrange For the Event, A number of the traveling men of the city are discussing the plan of having a traveling men’s day during far week. ~ The idea sprang into existence after Omaha aban- doned a traveling men's display the Fourth of July to give way to the celebration ar- ranged by the boys to take place at Grand Island on that day. When the plans for a parade were given up here on that occasion, t was agreed among the men that they would have their day in Omaha during fair week. In order to arrange for it a meeting will be held at the board of trade rooms this afternoon, at which committees will be ap- pointed to confer with the fair association for the event. The traveling men will be supported in their arrangements by their houses, and will do everything in their power to make the day a grand attraction. It is expected thatiench house in the city will bave a man at themesting this afternoon o help organize the movemeat.
