The congregation of the First Christian chureh, together with & number of neighbors and friends, gave a musical and literary en- tertainment and “pass supper” last night in the Sunday school rooms of their church, the receipts of which will be devoted to the Bik fund for tho benefit of Miss Royce. D. Towsley of Fort Omaha, has rendered the good cause great aid. The soldiers of Forts Sidney and Omaha have been more than generous in their con- tributions, Republican Clubs' Convention. George D. Meiklejohn, vice president of the republican national league for Nebraska, and R. W. Breckenridge, a member of the executive committee, have issued a call for a convention ofthe republican clubs of the state at exposition hall, in thus city, Thurs- day, March 15. The call states that three delegates are desired from every club throughout the state, not including their presidents, who are entitled to a seat by , vir- tue of their office.
