In the way of super excellence in the combination of hotel, re: rant and sam- vle room, Louis Rosenmund will this week lead the list. His place is at Nos. 1013 and 1015 Farnam strect. It isa three story brick building with a light, lofty and ample basement, The latter will be a bowling alley of the finest kind. The first floor will be devoted to the bar, lunch table and dining room. On enter- ing, a larg e, handsomely carved, white oak screen with a circular stained glass center, in which is worked the trade mark of Frederick Krug. A colored glass urn surmounts the screen over whis lectric and gas light appr tions are pendent from the ceiling. I latter is neatly papered in large pannelled patterns, while a pink tint suf es the walls. The bar is surrounded partly at the bottom ‘with a brass foot rest, and at the top with massive mahogany arm-rail. The bar 18 of oak, scrolied and carved, with painted giass panels, and brightened with round murrors, worked into the wood. Back of this is the immense mir- ror fifteen feet long by five feet high, well protected with wooden mil- and framing. The din- room is in the rear through a quaintly carved archway. 1n this dining room stained glass windows and transoms admit a mellow cheerfi Jight. On the second floor are the liv apartments of Mr. Rosenmund and his family, also two oflices, one being already taken by the Phaxnix Mutual Live Stock Insurance company. The kitchen is also on this floor. A dumb water runs through every floor of the building. There are eleven handsomely furnished rooms for the use of transient guests. Mr. Rosenmund’s 1. with the commercial travelers throughout the country assures him a patronage of the best class. The house is fitted up throughout with bath rooms, closets and all modern conveniences, It is heated with steam. ‘This place promises to be- come very rupul:n‘ m Omaha, Mr. Rosenmund formerly resided in this eity. Last year he was manager of Tony Faust's exposition in St. Loms. He was also widely known among the wealthy clubs and “sovicty peovle as St. Louis' rless eaterer.
