The Doings of the City Fathers Last Night—A Variety of Comncil Bluffs Jottings—Personal Paragraphs, Hung Himeelf in Jail. Yesterday morning some of the prison ers in the city jail discovered tiat one of their number, a man occupying what 18 known as the steel cell, was hanging by his neck. They gave the alarm, and the cell was opened and the man found to be stift and cold, death having apparently come to him several hours before. He had hung himself by means of a red silk handkerchief, pieced out with a bit of cloth which he had pickea up the jail.
