A Bearish Feeling Prevalent Among the Crowd in the Wheat Pit, TIGHTNESSIN MONEY THE CAUSE Provisions Rule Fairly Steady -A More Favorable Outlook For Cattle Hog Values the Same as on Saturday-—Quotations. CHICAGO PRODUCE MARKET, Crrcaco, Dee. 12, the Bep.|<The wheat morning at a slight decline. The Chicago crowd felt bearish, and the whole west seemed to share the feeling to a certain ex tent. The east, on the other hand, was bull- ish in sentiment, though it was noticed that there were fewer than usiai buying orders from that direction, Cables, public and pri- vate, were firm and indicative of a continua- tion of the fmprovement abroad. Expo clearances from Atlantic ports for last weel were reported at 2,025,000 bushels of wheat and corn. Tight money here and in the northwest may be held responsible in a large degree for the weak feeling in this section, Banks are holding borrowers down and an increasing difliculty in obtaining money for the carrying of grain is reported. The de- pressing influence of this sort of thing is weverely felt. and to the same cause is at- tributed the present increase in the move- ment of wheat in the direction of Chicago, where money is much cheaper than in Min neapolis, Duluth or the back country.
