Cattle are dying, and at some places on the plains people are almost perishing for water. One hundred and twenty-fiye prominent ranchmen held a meeting in the city last evening, and pitiful are the tales they tell of crops destroyed, eattle penishing, and their very families in dunger of suffering. During the past week runchmen ‘] ave several times threatened to take the law into their hands. At some points they have al ready armed themselves and swear that they will have their rights The meeting of last night was held for the purpose of making a lust appeal, and the governor is to make their committee an answer to-day.
