Beventh Annual Concert Exercises of | v the Btate Asylum, A very pleasant event occurred yosterday alternoon out at the state deaf and dumb asy- lum, it being the seventh annusl concert ex- ercises of that institution, About one hun- dred city people enjoyed the ride and were in attendance, The programme, an interestivg one, opened with a song by the superintend- ent_and teachers, tho words of which the pupils repeated in their own style, Thon fol- lowed o eeries of declamations, dialogues, lip practices, te., endivg finally ‘with a rendi- tion, in the déaf and dumb language, of the Lord's prayer. It was all very nice, and those who drove out to oo it were well entertained. The institution is in a flourishicg condition, and has at present about twenty-five pupils.
