The grocers report business excellent, The receipts of butter are increasing daily aud the market is woakening considerably, Buyers are becoming more particular as to color and quality and only choice grades sell rapidly, The price is 2@bc lower, Spirog chickens ara scarco yet and small 303 | but bring good prices for their size. No old onionk are coming in; potatoes are n good demand and market steady. New California potatoes sell at 3@4c per pound. Receipts of wheat are about equal to the demand at 7lc. The receipts of hogs were very heavy at the Union Stock Yards this weelk, and tho prices declined 20@250 from last Saturday’s quo- tations, Sheep are 50@85c higher, and good sheep will bring still better prices. Butchers’ stock in good demand at 25@50c higher.
