The orror consisted of the substitution of the word ““buy” for “‘sell.” Clayton 1s & heavy corn shipper, and in the transac- tion of his business he sent a dispatch to his agent, in Chloago, ordering him to *‘sell” 25,000 bushels of corn. The dis- patch as received by the Chicago agent from the Western Union office directed him to ‘‘buy” that many bushels, and he did 8o regardless of the downward ten- dency of the market. This resulted in loss to Mr. Clayton, and he brought this suit to recover damages, which he places at 8650, The plaintifi’'s caso was ably handled by Mr. Jacob Sims, and Mr, N. M. Pusey, while Wirght & Baldwin and Judge Woodworth, of Omaha, were for the defendant. The jury returned a verdict giving tke full amount asked for with interest. It s located near tho conter of Morgan township, is about fifty foet in dismeter at tho base and six feet high, the top being a level circlo thirty-five foot across. The inves- tigation revealed that the mound was formed chiefly of surface soil and made wholly on top of the ground. At the depth of three feot was found & ring of ashos five foet in_ width and two foet deop, containing bits of charcoal. The diameter of the ring is about twenty foet. In and about this were found Luman bones that had evidently been burned. Inside this, lying at tho very bottom of the mound on_the original soil, wero found a tolerablo state of presorvation the skeletons of four full grown poersons ono of them a woman, upon whemlay the bones of a well developed infant. ~The bodlos were huddled together without any systemetio arrangoment. The skulls were of good sizo and shape.
